Buxar : Buxar police, on a tip off, seized 1,632 bottles of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) packed in 79 cartons from a Pick-Up van near Mugaon mor on Dumrao-Navanagar main road under Koransarai police station in Buxar district on January 23 evening.

DSP Kamalapati Singh said that the IMFL was made in Jharkhand and was to be delivered at Dumraon. He said that the police seized the van but the driver managed to escape. He said that police found a slip in the van in which name of five persons was written to whom the consignment was to be delivered and added that of the five persons, two belong to old Bhojpur area while three belonged to Chhoti Lahana village under Chakki block in Buxar district. The DSP said that police were conducting raids to arrest the liquor mafias.
