Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, seized a truck with 72 bags of Garlic, 15,636 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), and two mobile phones on December 7, 2018. Police also arrested two liquor smugglers : Chintu Verma, son of late Suresh Soni of Mukhiawada in Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh, and Om Saini, son of late Rohit Saini of Laxminagar under the same police station in Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Piro, Reshu Krishna, said that she got information that a truck loaded with IMFL and Garlic is to going to Piro in Bhojpur district from Bikramganj in Rohtas district and three liquor smugglers were leading the truck in another vehicle. She immediately ordered for vehicle checking and during checking, police seized the truck, 15,636 bottles of IMFL, 72 bags of Garlic, and two mobile phones besides arresting two liquor smugglers while one of them managed to escape.
