Ara : Police, on a tip off, conducted raid at Balua Tola under Piro police station in Bhojpur district in the wee hour on April 12, 2018, and seized 1,267 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) packed in 51 cartons and a Scorpio though the liquor smugglers escaped from the spot seeing police.
SHO, Piro police station, said that he got information that a big consignment of IMFL had raeched Balua Tola after which he along with police force rushed there and seized 1,267 bottles of IMFL. He said an FIR has been lodged Piro police station against two liquor smugglers and police are conducting raids to arrest them.
Police also seized 129 bottles of IMFL near Makhdumpur village under Bihia police station on April 12 and arrested three liquor smugglers : Megha Singh of Makhdumpur, Harishankar of Bihia in Bhojpur district, and Prakash Singh of Gahrath under Brahmpur police station in Buxar district. Later, police forwarded them to jail after lodging a named FIR against them.
