Ara : Police on October 13, 2018, recovered a teenage girl from Ara railway station 13 days after she went missing and brought her over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for medical examination.
A class IX student, the girl had been missing since October 1, 2018, from her village under Bahoranpur Police Outpost (OP) in Bhojpur district and a named FIR was lodged with the Police Outpost against Shyam Srivastava and Rahul Srivastava on the statement of father of the girl charging them with kidnapping his daughter.
SHO, Bahoranpur OP, on the other hand, said that Shubhdeep Thakur, son of Ravi Kant Thakur of village Gangauli under Simari police station in Buxar district, fell in love with the girl and fled away with her on October 1, 2018, and went to Delhi where he tied the knot with the girl. On October 13, the girl and Shubhdeep Thakur were coming to Ara to appear before the court to legalise their marriage. Police caught the girl at Ara railway station while her lover escaped from the scene.
The SHO said that police would produce the girl before the court to get her statement recorded under Section 164 of CrPC.
