Ara : Police recovered a youth Prince Kumar, son of Ram Bachan Rai, from village Chasi under Narayanpur police station in Bhojpur District in South Bihar, on August 17, 2020, late night, though the kidnappers escaped from the scene.
An FIR has been lodged with Nawada police station, Ara, against Manish Kumar and Sudhir Kumar of Krishnanagar locality under Nawada police station on the statement of Geeta Devi, mother of the youth.
SHO, Nawada police station, quoting the FIR, said that Manish Kumar and his brother Sudhir Kumar of Chasi village under Narayanpur police station, lived at a house at Krishnanagar under Nawada police station. They went to Geeta Devi at Krishnanagar around 8pm on August 17, 2020, and threatened her. Around 9 pm, her son Prince Kumar went to Chandawa Mor under Nawada police station to purchase milk but was kidnapped by the two accused from there. The kidnappers threatened Prince Kumar’s family members on mobile to kill him if they did not pay Rs 11,000 as ransom within 24 hours.
The SHO said that after institution of FIR, police swung into action and conducted raids at Chasi village under Narayanpur police station t and recovered Prince Kumar from the house of the kidnappers though the kidnappers had fled away from there. He said that police are investigating the matter.
