Police recover kidnapped school boy Sunny Kumar

Patna : A Class IX Student of Saran district Sunny Kumar, who was kidnapped on May 8, 2018, was rescued from a Patna lodge in a joint operation of Saran and Patna police in the wee hours on May 10, 2018. Police also arrested five of his kidnappers.

Sunny Kumar is son of a contractor and the kidnappers had demanded Rs 60 lakh from his father for his safe release. Police recovered Sunny Kumar from a lodge located in Bahadurpur locality at Patna, according to a senior police officer. The ransom call was made from Patna which helped police locate the kidnappers. The kidnapped were staying at the lodge posing as students. Sunny was kidnapped when he was returning from school. Police also recovered his school bag from the lodge.
