SHO, Krishnagarh police station, Suresh Singh, quoting the FIR, said that Kishore Lal Jee Nat dealt in cattle. During Dussehara, some villagers asked him to stop the flood water of the river Ganga from entering the village but he refused. At this, the villagers thrashed him and also threatened him with dire consequences. On November 12, 2019, he returned to his native village after selling cattle and slept outside his house. Around midnight, some miscreants kidnapped him. Later, the miscreants burnt him alive and threw the body after packing it in a gunny bag at village Bela under Dhobaha police outpost to evade evidence.
