Ara : Bhojpur police recovered beheaded body of a missing youth from a bush in a garden at Morcha Tola under Jagdishpur police station (PS) in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on October 19, 2021. Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem but the doctor sent the body to PMCH, Patna for the same as the body was completely decomposed.

The deceased was missing for the last one week from Jaga Ka Pipara village under Jagdishpur PS and was identified as Anuj Kumar Gond, 22, son of Shivdhari Gond of Jaga Ka Pipara village. Police have taken three persons under custody for quizzing in connection with the incident.

SHO, Jagdishpur PS, Sanjeev Kumar, said that Anuj Kumar Gond had gone to visit Durga Puja fair on October 13, 2021, late evening, but did not return home. His family members searched for him everywhere but in vain and finally lodged an FIR with Jagdishpur PS on October 14, 2021. After institution of FIR, police searched for him everywhere and recovered his beheaded body from near a bush in a garden at Morcha Tola under the police station on October 19, 2021, morning.

Shiv Shankar Sahu, maternal uncle of the deceased, said that a girl from Morcha Tola used to come to Jaga Ka Pipara village to attend a coaching and was in contact with Anuj Kumar Gond for the last six months but family members of girl were against this.
