Patna : Patna and Darbhanga Police, in a joint action, on February 23, 2019, recovered six inmates of Mokama shelter house from Darbhanga. The girls were recovered from village Shakatpur under Benipur Sub-Division in Darbhanga district. The girls are being brought over to Patna by a police team. Senior SP (SSP), Patna,  Garima Mallik said that the six girls had been recovered from Darbhanga.
It may be mentioned here that seven girls from Mokama shelter home located on the premises of Nazareth Hospital, Mokama, in Patna district, had fled away after cutting grill of the house at 3.30 am on February 23, 2019. On getting information, Patna DM Kumar Ravi and SSP Garima Mallik had visited the Mokama Shelter Home.
Out of seven girls, five had been shifted to Mokama from Muzaffarpur Shelter House while two were from Mokama Nazareth. Four of these girls are witnesses in Muzaffarpur Shelter home sex-scandal case being probed by the CBI.
