Buxar: A Vigilance Investigation Bureau team from Patna arrested a police inspector Ramashish Mishra while taking Rs 10,000 from a person on Tuesday in Buxar town area for removing certain sections from a case lodged with Buxar Muffassil police station. Later, the vigilance team took him to Patna with them.
A constable Dhananjay posted as security guard at the official residence of the chief minister had complained that the Inspector was demanding money for favouring him in a case. Dhananjay was building his home at Maruti Nagar under Industrial Area police station in Buxar and had allegedly encroached some portion of government land. When the locals objected to it, he along with some others clashed with the locals. Two FIRs were lodged with Buxar Muffassil police station in this regard. The police inspector was allegedly taking money in this case from Dhananjay’s father-in-law.
