Bagaha: SP, Bagaha, Bagaha, Arvind Kumar Gupta , and SP, West Champaran, Jayant Kant, along with police force, on a tip off, carried out raids at suspected hideouts of maoists operating in Kunayee, Nautanawa, Bhelahi villages under Laukaria and Samara police stations and other places in Done forests areas in Valmiki Tiger Reserve (VTR) on March 13, 2029, but failed to arrest any maoist. The Maoists had apparently got the wind of police raid and left their hideouts, said police sources.
SP, Bagaha, Gupta said he has earlier sent a list of three notorious criminals Daroga Kushwaha of Parasnagar locality, Dipak Kumar of Ramdham locality, and Brutal Kushwaha of Gandhinagar locality under Bagaha municipal area operating in Bagaha police district, to the DM, West Champaran Nilesh Ramchandra Deore, for booking them under Crime Control Act (CCA).
SP, West Champaran, said five notorious criminals had been booked under the CCA. They are : Sanjay Patel of Chiutaha and Bhola Paswan under Mainatand police station, Raghubar Sao, a resident of DK Shikarpur under Shikarpur police station, Mohd. Jalaluddin and Alok Jha of Bettiah Muffasil area. The Model Code of Conduct is being enforced strictly in the district, he added.
