Buxar : Police on February 17,2922, evening, have busted a mini gun factory at Moharia under Dhansoi police station (PS) in Buxar District in South Bihar. The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested a youth of Buxar from Dildarnagar in Uttar Pradesh (UP) and seized five pistols and some live cartridges from his possession. Buxar police also nabbed a woman and her brother-in-law in this connection.
SHO, Dhansoi PS, Kamal Nayan Pandey said that the whole family was involved in running of illegal arms factory in Buxar. Police are conducting raids to arrest the husband of the woman. He said that illegal arms and ammunition are smuggled into UP.
SDPO, Buxar, Gorakh Ram said that the ATS was tipped off that Manjhil Yadav of Budhanpurwa village under Buxar Town PS was going to Dildarnagar in UP with illegal arms and ammunition by a train. The ATS swung into action and arrested Manjhil Yadav from near Power Sub-Station near Dildarnagar railway station in UP and recovered five pistols and some live cartridges from his possession and informed the Buxar police. Manjhil Yadav was earlier jailed for sale and purchase of liquor and came out on bail recently.
The arrested woman revealed that her husband was also involved in the racket and fled away seeing police. Police recovered one half made countrymade pistol, over a dozen blank cartridges, drill machine, cutter, hammer, sharpener, bellow machine, role cutter, wire cutter, chisel, and other equipment used for making pistols after digging earth.
