Ara : Bhojpur police attached property of RJD MLA from Sandesh Arun Kumar Yadav on September 22, 2019, at his native village Lasadi under Gadhani police station in connection with a sex scandal. The RJD MLA is evading arrest.
Police led by the ASP (Operations) Nitin Kumar and SDPO Pankaj Kumar went to the residence of RJD MLA Arun Yadav at Agiaw under Agiaw police station to attach the property but they had to return after they came to know that the property was in the name of his wife. The police team then went to his native village Lasadi under Gadhani police station and attached his property there. Police took out windows, doors, TV, and a bed from his old house at Lasadi and brought them to the police station.
Even after pasting of Ishtehar (Proclamation Notice) on walls of his house, the MLA did not surrender and so the Investigating Officer (IO) Chandrashekhar Gupta prayed the Additional District and Sessions Judge I, R K Singh, on September 20, 2019, to issue warrant of property attachment against him. The ADJ I issued warrant of Property attachment against Arun Yadav on September 21, 2019.
A 11 year old girl of Kabirganj locality under Ara Town police station slipped from the clutches of her tormentors at Patna and reached Ara on July 18, 2019, and revealed that her neighbour Lalita Kumari alias Lali, 16, had introduced her to Anita Devi in June 2019, who promised a better life and also got her admitted to school, then brought her to Patna and pushed her into flesh trade. She said that Anita Devi first sent her to a youth at Patna and then to an engineer in Pakari locality at Ara where she had to spend the whole night. Later, Anita Devi and Lalita Kumari took her to Lucknow for a week and sent her to one Rinku and added that she and other girls had to entertain engineers, politicians, and others, almost daily.
She revealed that a sex racket was being run from a rented house near bus stand at Patna at bypass where a number of minor girls were forced into flesh trade. On her revelation, police arrested Anita Devi, owner of sex centre, Sanjay Paswan alias Jija alias Pandit, mastermind of the racket, Santosh alias Chhotu, broker, and engineer, Amresh Kumar in connection with sex racket.
Anita said that she was married in 2003 but started living at a quarter near Patna Secretariat after her husband divorced her in 2013. She stated that Lali Kumari of Kabirganj worked as her agent and enticed minor and teenage girl. She disclosed that Sanjay Paswan alias Pandit was the mastermind of the racket.
The rape victim had not taken the name of MLA Arun Yadav in her first statement recorded in the court. She had said that she was supplied to an engineer at Ara and an MLA at Patna. She had also not identified the photograph of the MLA earlier. But after about two months, she disclosed the name of RJD MLA Arun Yadav before camera and demanded capital punishment to him.
IO Chandrashekhar Gupta, after getting the statement of the survivor before the court under Section 164 of CrPC second time, prayed the Additional District and Session Judge I cum POCSO special Judge, R K Singh, on September 11, 2019, to issue arrest warrant against RJD MLA Arun Yadav stating he is absconding since the survivor disclosed his name in the case. The court, after getting the police diary, issued arrest warrant against the MLA on September 13, 2019, and the police started searching for him in Patna, Jharkhand, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and other places to arrest him.
