Ara : Bhojpur police  led by the ASP (Operations) Nitin Kumar, SDPO Pankaj Kumar and SDO, Arun Prakash, on the direction of the court, attached property of a notorious criminal Khurshid Quraishi at Kazi Tola under Town police station, Ara, on  December 8, 2018, late evening, amidst tight security arrangement and took away all the movable articles with them in connection with firing and murder of a businessman Imran Khan on December 7, 2018.

Some armed miscreants had attacked shops at Shobha Shree Market under Ara Town police station on December 7,2018, afternoon and injured two businessmen : Imran Khan and his elder brother Vaqil Khan of Doodhkatora locality under Ara Town police station, and an employee of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited Farooq Rayin of Gundi village under Krishnagarh police station in Bhojpur district, with a view to capturing Imran Khan’s shops and a piece of land and also for not giving a ‘Rangdar’ ( extortion amount) of Rs 10 lakh.  Imran Khan succumbed to his injuries on way to Sadar Hospital, Ara.

A named FIR was lodged with  Ara Town police station against nine persons including Khurhsid Quraishi. After the lodging of FIR, police conducted raids to arrest the named accused. But, when police failed in their bid, they prayed in the court on December 8, 2018, for issuance of warrant of property attachment against the miscreants. The court allowed the prayer and ordered for attachment of property of the accused.
