Ara : Bhojpur police on July 15, 2017, attached the properties of five named accused in Ara businessman Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumar Ji murder case.
The court had on July 14 allowed the request of police and ordered attachment of properties of these five named. But the court stayed attachment of property of HAM(S) leader Danish Rizwan and former Bhojpur district president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Indrabhan Singh for ten days. It allowed police remand of two brothers of senior HAM(S) leader Danish Rizwan: Zamal Asaraf and Md Shaheed, for 24 hours on July 14. The court had earlier ordered to past ‘Ishtehar’ (proclamation) on the wall of the houses of seven named accused.
Some armed persons had shot dead Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumar Ji, son of a businessman late Ram Khelawan Singh, in Padav locality under Town police station, Ara, on July 2, 2017 when he was on way to his house. A named FIR was lodged with Town Police Station against ten persons: Danish Rizwan, his brothers: Shahid Ali and Zamal Asraf, Munnu Singh, son of Deputy Mayor, Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC), Malati Devi, Indubhan Singh, former district president, VHP, notorious criminal and one of the main accused in the Ara Civil Court bomb blast, Chand Mian, and his brother Md Nayeem, Sirajuddin Safina, Tibla and Dibua on the statement of Bharat Singh, who was accompanying the deceased at the time of his murder.
Police had on July 8 arrested seven unnamed accused Md Aslam alias Raja, son of Md Zameel of Badi Mosque Gurhati lane, Md Nurain Alam alias Sonu, son of Asgar Ali alias Dhannu of Bhaluhipur, Md Azad, son of Md Nayeem of Balbatara, Nehal Ahmad alias Mintu, son of Ahamad Saifuddin of Kazi Tola, Md Shamim, son of Md Khalid of Chaudhriana, Mehroo Nisha, wife of Md Shamim of Chaudhriyana, and Gudia Khatoon, wife of Md Isaayil and sister of Chand Mina and Nayeem Mian of Nala Road under Town police station.
Chand Mian, one of the named accused of the murder of the businessman, surrendered before the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate on July 10,2017, while two named accused: Zamal Asraf and Shaheed Ali, surrendered before Town Police Station on July 11, 2017. Police took Zamal Asaraf and Shaheed Ali on remand on July 15 for interrogation.
Ara MLA Anwar Alam had to face rough weather when he went to console the members of bereaved family on July 14 evening. They refused to meet the MLA saying he came so late. But, the MLA denied it. The MLA said he had gone to Maharashtra and New Delhi on tour when the businessman was killed and returned only on July 13, 2017, and went to meet the family members of the deceased on July 14, 2017.
