Ara : Police arrested a woman from village Sarathua under Udwantnagar police station (PS) in Bhojpur District in South Bihar and sent her to jail in connection with murder of her husband. The arrested woman was identified as Mamta Singh, wife of Dayanand Singh, 26, of the village.
SHO, Udwantnagar PS, said that Mamta Singh had some tiff with her husband Dayanand Singh, a mason, on February 13, 2022, after which she called her mother and brothers who came on February 16, 2022, and thrashed Dayanand Singh at her behest in front of his 8 year old son Suraj. An injured Dayanand Singh was admitted to a local private nursing home where he succumbed to his injuries.
A named FIR was lodged with Udwantnagar PS against four persons in this connection on the statement of grandmother of the deceased. Police arrested wife of the deceased while his mother-in-law and two brothers-in-law are still at large. Police are conducting raids to arrest them.
