Ara : Police, on a tip off, on February 21, 2019, evening, arrested Pappu Kumar Yadav, son of Siyaram Singh of village Runni under Pawana police station in Bhojpur district, from his native village in connection with firing and loot of motorcycle, cash and silver. He is said to a member of Shakawa Teju alias Vishwajit gang under Bidupur police station in Vaishali district and a number of criminal cases are pending against him with different police stations in Bhojpur district. He operated in Bhojpur and Patna districts

SHO, Pawana police station, Sudeh Kumar said that Pappu Kumar Yadav, during interrogation, confessed before police that he along with half a dozen associates had attacked Anand Sah and his son Twinkle of village Pandura under Sandesh police station when they were returning home from Akhgaw Bazaar and looted 1 kg of silver, 80 gram of gold jewellery and Rs 11,000 cash in  2016. He also revealed that he had shot at and injured and looted the Branch Manager, State Bank of India, Gadhani branch, in 2016 and the same year had looted a motorcycle under Charpokhari police station after stabbing its owner.

Pappu Kumar Yadav admitted that the villagers had caught him at village Sewatha under Azimabad police station when he was trying to escape after looting gold and silver from a jeweller near Karwasin bridge and a named FIR was lodged with Sahar police station against him in 2015. He had also looted a motorcycle at Dulhinbazaar in Patna district the same year. Pawana police had arrested him along with a looted motorcycle and sent him to jail, the SHO said.

The SHO said that after loot and firing, Pappu Kumar Yadav fled away to Ranchi in Jharkhand. He had returned to his native village and police arrested him.
