Police arrest man in guise of Sadhu with 2 live cartridges at Ara Civil Court gate

Ara : Bhojpur police on January 31, 2019, afternoon, arrested a man in the guise of sadhu (saint) along with two live cartridges of 303 caliber at the gate of Ara Civil Court when he was trying to enter the Ara Civil Court. Police are interrogating him.

SHO, Ara Town police station, said that a man in the guise of a Sadhu carrying a bag in his hand tried to enter the campus of Ara Civil Court on January 31, 2019, afternoon, giving by a slip to police who were frisking every visitor to the court at gate No 2. When police frisked him, they found two live cartridges of 303 caliber from his possession.

A powerful bomb had exploded inside Ara Civil Court on January 23, 2015, in which the bomb carrier woman Nagina Devi and a constable, Amit Kumar, were killed and two dreaded undertrial prisoners :Lamboo Sharma and Akhilesh Yadav, who were brought to the court for production from the Ara jail, had escaped from police custody. After the bomb blast, the security in the Ara Civil Court was tightened metal and handheld metal detectors were installed at gate No 2. Over two dozen police personnel including lady constable have been deputed at three gates of  Ara Civil Court.
