Ara : Police arrested a liquor smuggler and seized 25 litre countrymade liquor and Rs 1.48 lakh cash from a house in Sheetal Tola locality under Town police station, Ara, in Bhojpur District on April 24, 2020.
A named FIR has been lodged with Town police station against the liquor smuggler under Prohibition and Excise Act and police sent him to jail after interrogation.
SHO, Town police station, said that on the direction of Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar, a police team conducted raids at a house at Sheetal Tola under the police station on April 24 and arrested a liquor smugger Chandan Kumar. He lived in a rented house in Sheetal Tola locality. Ppolice also seized 25 litre of countrymade liquor and Rs 1.48 in cash. The seized currency notes are no longer in circulation.
