Bhabhua : Police, on a tip off, arrested five persons in drunken state from near Petrol Pump on Chainpur-Bhabhua main road under Chainpur police station (PS) in Kaimur District in South Bihar and also seized a car and a motorcycle and two bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL).
SHO Chainpur PS and DSP (Probation) Ajay Chaudhary said that on the direction of Patna Control Room Dial 100, Kaimur police conducted raid near a petrol pump on Chainpur-Bhabhua road and arrested five persons in drunken state though a boozer escaped. Police seized two bottles of IMFL, one car and a motorcycle.
The arrested persons were identified as Rajesh Kumar Patel, son of late Rajendra Prasad Singh; Shashi Kant Singh alias Dara Singh, son of Shiv Jatti Singh; Ram Sharan Mandal, son of Jai Narayan Mandal; Santosh Kumar Singh, son of late Sankatha Singh of Sivo Mahasua under Bhabhua police station; and Bhikhari Bind, son of Shiv Narayan Bind of Keva village under Chainpur police station in Kaimur district, though Pintu Kumar, brother of the husband of Udayrampur panchayat Mukhia under Chanipur police station, escaped from the spot.
A named FIR was lodged by Chainpur PS against them under the Prohibition & Excise Act. Police sent the arrested persons them to jail after their medical test and interrogation. Police are conducting raids to arrest the absconding person.
