Police arrest arms supplier in W Champaran

Bettiah : Police on February 17, 2019, night, arrested two persons including an arms supplier Pappu Kumar, son of Tejoo Pratap Singh of Basudeopur police out post in Munger  district, along with a countrymade pistol and two magzine during a raid at Haribatika Chowk under Bettiah Sub-Division in West Champaran district.

Bettiah  SP Jayant Kant on February 18, 2019, said that SDPO, Bettiah, Pankaj Kumar Rawat, on a tip off, with a police team carried out raid at Haribatika Chowk  and arrested the arms supplier with a countrymade pistol and two magazine. The SP said that during interrogation, Pappu Kumar revealed the name  of one of his associates Kundan Kumar, who has also  been arrested from Banuchhapara. The arms supplier confessed before  police, he was carrying the pistol to deliver it to one Abinash Kumar, a sand supplier of Bagaha.
