Police arrest arms smuggler in Buxar

Buxar : An STF team from Patna and Buxar Muffassil Police arrested an arms smuggler near Chausa railway station in Buxar district on March 24, 2017, afternoon and seized four countrymade pistols and seven magazines from his possession.

SHO, Buxar Muffassil police station, Aditya Kumar said that the Patna STF got information that arms from Munger were being smuggled into Buxar. A team of STF from Patna arrived at Buxar on March 23 evening and with the help of Buxar Muffassil police, they laid a trap near Chausa railway station. As the arms smuggler got down from the train and proceeded towards Bara Mor, police arrested him. He was identified as Md. Raza of Munger. Police also seized fourcounty made pistols and seven magazines from his possession. The SHO said that Raza was being interrogated and refused to say anything more.
