Police arrest 8 bike lifters in Buxar, seize 4 stolen bikes

Buxar : Police on April 21, 2019, arrested eight members of an inter-state gang of bike lifters near Dakhina and Mathia Kali temple under Koransarai police station in Buxar district and seized four stolen motorcycles from their possession when they had reached there to sell them.

Police lodged a named FIR against the eight bile lifters and sent them to jail after interrogation. The arrested bike lifters were identifies as Raj Kumar Yadav alias Pintu Yadav alias Dhanji Yadav, son of Mohan Yadav of village Bhitihara under Itadhi police station, Laloo Yadav, son of Gopal Yadav of Kritpura under Buxar Muffassil police station, Deepak Pathak, son of Sheo Dinesh Pathak, Arun Dubey, son of Shashikant Dubey, Ajit Kumar, son of Chandan Mahto of village Kadsar under Sonbarsha police outpost, Vishwamitra Singh, son of Ramashraya Singh of Dhawayi village under Dawath police station, Santosh Kumar, son of Dadan Turaha of village Simari under Dawath police station, and Ritesh Kumar, son of Saheb Singh of Madhutola village under Suryapura police station.

SHO, Koransarai police station, Kamaljeet said that he got information that two bike lifters were seen near Middle School, Dakhanaw under Koransarai police station. He immediately reached there. Seeing police ,two motorcycle borne youth tried to escape but police chased and arrested Santosh Kumar and Ritesh Kumar along with a stolen motorcycle. He said that they had come there with the motorcycle stolen from Dawath and Suryapura and were waiting for their customers when the police reached there. On their revelation, police conducted raids near Mathila Kali temple and nabbed six bike lifters and seized three stolen motorcycles.

The SHO said that Raj Kumar Yadav and Laloo Yadav lifted the motorcycles from Buxar and handed them over to other members of the gang in Rohtas district who searched the customers and sold the stolen motorcycles. Santosh Kumar said that he had come to Dakhinaw on the direction of Raj Kumar Yadav to sell the motorcycle and he got a commission of Rs 3,000 after selling the motorcycle.

Earlier, the New Bhojpur police had arrested members of a gang of bike lifters having link with Uttar Pradesh and Rohtas in Bihar.
