Police arrest 6 criminals in W Champaran, seize 5 pistols, 2 stolen bikes

Bettiah : Police arrested 6 criminals and seized five loaded countrymade pistols, 13 live cartridges besides two stolen motorbikes   from their possessions during raids conducted at two different places on February 18, 2019, night.

West Champaran SP Jayant Kant on February 19, 2019, said that, on a tip off, he directed SDPO, Bettiah, Pankaj Kumar Rawat, to conduct raids to arrest the criminals. SDPO Rawat along with Rajivnandan, SHO, Jogapatti, and SHO, Bettiah town PS, Rakesh Kumar carried  out raids near Bettiah estate palace and Chamainia bazzar under Bettiah Sub-Division and arrested Kamal Sah of Sirsia, Rajan Kumar of Jogapatti, Manoj Kumar of Manuyapul, and Nand Kishore, and recovered three loaded countrymade pistols, a stolen motorcycle  and nine live cartridges  from their possessions.

Police also conducted raid at Chamainiya bazzar and arrested Santu  Kumar from village Kargahia and Prem Prakash  from Jaiprakash Nagar and recovered two loaded countrymade pistols and a stolen motorcycle from their possessions, the SP said. The SP said that the arrested criminals were involved in many criminal cases  and police were searching them.
