Samastipur : Police arrested five criminals including the main shooter of an inter-state gang Ashutosh Kumar Munchun with firearms including an AK 47, a Carbine and a pistol during raids conducted at different places under Tajpur police station in Samastipur district.
Samastipur SP Dipak Ranjan on November 3, 2017, said that police and STF, on a tip off, conducted raids at different places including Morwa Anandpur under Tajpur police station and arrested five criminals including Ashutosh Kumar Munchun, a resident of village Mahisaur in Vaishali district. The other four arrested criminals were identified as Aman Anand Lambu of Matihani Chak in Begusarai district, Pravin Chaudhary and Sanjay Chaudhary of village Morwa Anandpur in Samastipur district, and Sanjiv Jha of village Elouth, Musrigharari in Samastipur district.
The SP said that police seized an AK 47, a Carbine, one Pistol, 31 live rounds, 8 mobile phones and two bikes from the possession of the arrested criminals. The SP said that police were looking of these criminals in connection with the loot of Rs 38 lakh from cash arrier of a private firm at Muzaffarpur and murder of a medicine shop owner Janardan Thakur under Tajpur police station in Samastipur district recently besides several cases of loot and murder. SP Ranjan said that the five arrested criminals were members of Dabloo Jha – Pappu Chaudhary gang.
