Police arrest 5 criminals in W Champaran, seize 3 firearms, stolen bike

Bettiah : A police team headed by SDPO, Bettiah, Pankaj Rawat, on a tip off, conducted raid near Mehadibari petrol pump under Manuyapul Police Outpost under Bettiah Sub-Division in West Champaran district on March 3, 2019, night, and arrested five notorious criminals, who were planning some crime there. The SDPO along with police team reached there and carried out search during which police recovered  three loaded firarms, a stolen bike, and Rs 30,500 cash.

West Champaran SP Jayant Kant on March 4, 2019, said that three arrested criminals : Azahar Alam, Sarfaraz Alam, and Afsar Alam, were wanted in an half a dozen serious offences. The recovered cash, according to the confession of the criminals,  belonged Utakarsh Private Finance Company. The criminals had looted Rs 15.81 lakh at gun point from Utakarsh Private Finance Company employees near Chhawani on February 21, 2019. The cash recovered by police was share of Sarfaraz Alam.
