Ara : Bhojpur police arrested four gamblers from a Guessing centre at Patel Bus stand under Town police station, Ara, on September 3, 2018, and seized lottery coupons in large quantity, two calculator, guessing chart, four cell phones, and Rs 2,300.
The arrested gamblers were identified as Lav Kush Prasad of Shital Tola under Town police station, Aman of Rassi Bagan, Bijay Prakash of Sri Tola under Nawada police station, and Jawahar Prasad of Baligaon under Ayar police station. Later,police sent them to jail after interrogation.
Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that on secret information police conducted raid at guessing centre at Patel Bus Stand and arrested four gamblers though the mastermind escaped from the scene. He said that police were keeping round the clock vigil on guessing centres in urban and rural areas and conduct raids regularly.
