Ara : Police, on a tip off, conducted raid at village Masadh under Gajrajganj police outpost in Bhojpur District in South Bihar and arrested four alleged drug peddlers. Police also seized 947 Gram of Heroin worth about Rs 1 crore, 8 live cartridges, 4 digital weighing machines, 21 mobile phones,, a motorcycle, one POS machine, and Rs 2.3 lakh cash from their possession.

The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Santosh Kumar Singh alias Guddu Singh, his son Raj Aryan, and Prashant Kumar and Vivek Singh, of village Masadh.

ASP cum SDPO Himanshu, talking to mediapersons on November 1, 2021, said that Bhojpur SP Vinay Tiwari had formed a team under his leadership to crack drug syndicate. ASP Himanshu said that he got information that drug issues were being dealt in from village Masadh  under Gajrajganj police outpost allegedly from the house of Santosh Kumar Singh alias Guddu Singh and Vivek Singh. He immediately swung into action and with a heavy police force, conducted raids at the house of Santosh Kumar Singh alias Guddu Singh and Vivek Singh at Masadh  and seized 947 Gram of Heroin worth about Rs 1 crore, 8 live cartridges, a motorcycle, 21 mobile phones, 4 digital weighing machines, one POS machine, Aluminum foils packet,, and Rs. 2.3 lakh cash from their possession. Plice arrested Santosh Kumar Singh alias Guddu Singh, his sons Raj Aryan, and Prashant Kumar and Vivek Singh,ASP Himanshu said.

The ASP said that Police Inspector Gautam Kuma;, SHO, Nawada police station, Ara, Avinash Kumar;, SHO, Ara Muffasil police station, Anil Kumar Singh; SHO, Udwantnagar police station Jyoti Kumari; SHO, Gajrajrajganj police outpost Subhash Tiwari; ASI Ram Babu Rai, and team of DIU were present during the raid along with him.

Earlier, police had conducted raids in Gangi locality under Ara town police station and seized Heroin and cash and arrested drug peddlers.
