Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, arrested three miscreants with a countrymade pistol, seven live cartridges and a motorcycle on October 27, 2018, in connection with exchange of firing between two groups in which a seven class student was injured on Godhna road under Nawada police station, Ara, two days ago.
The arrested miscreants were identified as Vikas Kumar and Om Prakash alias Tunni, both sons of Shyam Babu of Bherli Road, Bazaar Samiti under Udwantnagar police station, and Mulayam, son of Arun Kumar Singh of Pipara under Agiaw police station in Bhojpur district.
Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar said that in an exchange of firing between two groups, a class VII student Deepak Kumar, son of Sunil Kumar Thakur of Godhna road was injured and an FIR was lodged with Nawada police station in this connection. The SP said he formed a police team to arrest the miscreants. On October 27 afternoon, police located three persons on a motorcycle and when they intercepted them, they tried to escape but police chased and arrested two of them : Vikas Kumar and Om Prakash alias Tunni, both sons of Shyam Babu, though the third one managed to escape. They revealed that he was Kunal of Kharaicha under Agiaw police station. Police are conducting raids to arrest him too, the SP said. Police also arrested Mulayam from his native village Pipara on their revelation.
Vikas and Om Prakash confessed before police that they had fired on October 25, 2018, and added that Kunal and Golden had some tiff over a trivial about a month ago and so they wanted to kill Golden. On October 25, 2018, Kunal was driving the motorcycle while Mulayam was pillion rider. They aimed at Golden but missed the target and the bullet hit Deepak Kumar.
