Police arrest 3 liquor smugglers from Bhojpur Village, seize 157 bottles of IMFL

Ara : Police seized 157 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and a Magic van on January 4, 2020, near Dhauri village under Sahar police station in Bhojpur District. Police also arrested three liquor smugglers including the driver of the van.

The arrested liquor smugglers were identified as Jitendra Kumar, son of Anil Kumar of Dayalpur village in Nalanda district, Sonu Kumar, son of Satyanarayan Prasad of Brahm Sthan village in Nalanda district, and Mantu Kumar, son of Ram Pravesh Yadav of Chakrahiwa village in Patna district. A named FIR was lodged by Sahar police station under Prohibition & Excise Act against them and police sent them to jail after interrogation.

SHO, Sahar police station, said that he got information that a big consignment of IMFL was being smuggled from Sasaram in Rohtas district through Sahar. He along with police force started vehicle checking drive on Nasariganj-Sakadi main road under Sahar police station in Bhojpur district on January 4. Police intercepted a Magic van near Dhauri village under Sahar police station and when it was searched, police seized 157 bottles of IMFL. Police also seized the Magic Van.
