Police arrest 3 ATM frauds, seize over Rs 4 lakh cash, several ATM cards

Patna : Three notorious frauds were arrested by a Patna Police team on September 10, 2018. Police recovered Rs 4.10 lakh cash, dozens of ATM cards, cellphones and Maptop from the possession of their possession. Police are conducting raids to arrest the kingpin of the gang identified as Deepak Kumar.
Police sources said that Gandhi Nagar police in Gujarat had contacted Patna Police and informed them about a gang involved in ATM fraud operating from Patna. On getting information, Senior SP (SSP), Patna, Manu Maharaaj, constituted a team of police officers including DSP (Sadar) and SHO, Gandhi Maidan police station.
During investigation, the police team came to know that the gang’s network is spread across the country. While carrying out investigation, police team caught a youth Raju committing some crime inside an ATM under Gandhi Maidan police station area on September 10, 2018.

Acting on the revelations made by Raju, police arrested two of his associates and seized Rs. 4.10 lakh, dozens of ATM cards, cellphones and Laptop from their possession. The SSP said that this gang is operating in the entire country. He said that the arrested youth have made startling revelations and Patna Police have initiated action n it. The SSP said that kingpin of the gang is Deepak Kumar and raids were on to arrest him. He said that this gang is engaged in eliciting information about ATM pin and after cloning them, the gang members make heavy online purchase.
