Ara : Police arrested two youth with Rs 10 lakh cash and seized a motorcycle at village Khwaspur under the same police outpost in Bhojpur District on October 13, 2020. Police are quizzing the arrested youth to know from where the cash was brought over and where it was to be spent.
Bhojpur SP Har Kishore Rai said that Lalu Bhagar and Bikram Bhagat of Manjhi Chhapara in Rohtas were going to Khawapur on a motorcycle on October 13, 2020. Police, on suspicion, intercepted them and recovered Rs 10 lakh from their possession and arrested both the youth along with their motorcycle. The SP said that it is speculated that the money was to be used in Assembly elections. He said that if it is confirmed that the money was to be spent in election, an FIR will be lodged in this regard.
The SP said police also arrested one Chandan Dubey of village Fuha under Barhara police station on October 13, 2020, and seized one regular rifle and a pistol from his possession.
The SP stated that police got information that one person was moving with firearms. The SP immediately sent a police team to arrest the miscreant. Police conducted raids and arrested Chandan Dubey along with a regular rifle and a pistol. A named FIR was lodged by Barhara police station against Chandan Dubey, who was sent to jail after interrogation.
