Police arrest 2 liquor smugglers in E Champaran, seize 504 bottles of foreign wine

Motihari  :  Police on March 28, 2019, arrested two liquor smugglers  and seized 504 bottles of UP made foreign wine from a SUV near Dumariyaghat  on NH28 in East Champaran district. The SUV was coming from Uttar Pradesh and the wine bottles were to be delivered to a person at Muzaffarpur. Police seized the SUV and lodged a case in connection.

SHO, Dumariyaghat police station, Abhinaw Kumar Dubey, said that the two arrested smugglers were later identified as  Mukul Kumar of Vaishali and Deepak Kumar of  Ganga Bridge police station area. Both of them were sent to judicial custody.

Police also seized 120 cartons of Nepali liquor near Kodarkat near Indo-Nepal border  but the smugglers managed to escape from the spot.
