Buxar : Police arrested a liquor smuggler and seized a big consignment of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from near Zahaz Ghat under Buxar Town Police Station on September 27, 2020. The arrested liquor smuggler was identified as Rambabu Kumar of Mallah Toli in Buxar district.
SHO, Buxar Town police station, Ranjeet Kumar, said that he got information that a big consignment of IMFL was being smuggled after which police conducted raids in Zahaz Ghat locality on September 27, 2020, and arrested a liquor smuggler Rambabu Mallah of Mallah Toli and seized 496 bottles of IMFL from his possession. A named FIR was lodged under Prohibition & Excise Act and police are investigating the matter.Police sent Rambabu to jail after interrogation.
Buxar police also arrested another liquor smuggler Munna Mahto with 107 bottles of IMFL and also seized two countrymade pistols and nine live cartridges from his possession. A named FIR has been lodged under Prohibition & Excise Act and Arms Act and police are investigating the matter. Police sent the arrested smuggler to jail after interrogation.
SDPO, Buxar, K K Singh said that police, on a tip off, conducted raids at Mahila village under Koransarai police station in Buxar district and arrested a liquor smuggler Munna Mahto and also seized 107 bottles of IMFL, two country mad pistols, and nine live cartridges from his possession.
