Ara :  Police arrested six persons and two Bar girls from a Max Super Battery Factory at village Songhatta under Koelwar police station (PS)  in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on May 31, 2021, night.  Police also seized four motorcycles, one Scorpio, one Music System, Home Theatre, 26 mobile phones, and bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from the spot.

The arrested persons were identified as Kedar Gupta, Ranjit Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Amresh Kumar alias Tulasi Kumar, Ravi Ranjan Kumar, Babloo Chaudhary, Brajesh Kumar alias Govinda Kumar, Tuntun Chaudhary, Prem Kumar, Akhilesh Kumar alias Zeda, of Sakaddi village, Vinod Kumar of Dahdiha village, Abhishek Kumar alias Abhay Kumar, Kanhaiya Kumar of Kulharia village, Dhanji Kumar of Songhatta village. Pankaj Kumar of Gopalpur village, and Md Zubaid of Tapajalpura village under Chandi police station in Bhojpur district. Pankaj Kumar and Akhilesh Kumar alias Zeda of Sakaddi village were wanted in a number of criminal cases and police were searching for them for several days.

Bhojpur SP Rakesh Kumar Dubey said that he got information that two Bar girls were called from Varanasi and dance and rave party were going on at the Max Super Battery Factory at Songhatta village under Koelwar PS on May 31, 2021, night. He at once sent a police team that conducted raid and arrested 16 persons though. Police did not disclose the names of  the two arrested Bar Girls from Varanasi. The SP said that a named FIR was lodged with the police under  Prohibition &  Excise Act and Lockdown Act. He added that no one would be spared if found indulging in such activities. It may be mentioned here that on May 26, 2021, police had arrested 17 persons including two Ward Councilors for conducting rave party.
