Patna : Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has issued a direction to all its Executive Officers to start a drive against illegal meat shops from September 10, 2018.
A work plan of drive has been finalised under which every circle of the corporation will have two teams with Magistrate and Force to carry out the drive. The idea behind the drive is to effectively implement Patna Municipal Corporation ( Licence for sale of Animal Flesh, Flesh or Poultry ) Regulation, 2014.
This drive will ultimately force these shopkeepers to take license from PMC that will eventually ensure the availability of hygienic meat or fish for human use.
