PM Modi pays floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Statue of Unity at Kevadiya

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, 2019, paid floral tributes to Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the world famous Statue of Unity at Kevadiya, Gujarat, on the occasion of his Birth Anniversary.

The Birth Anniversary of Sardar Patel is celebrated as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. ‘Run for Unity’ is organised all over the country in a spirt of achieving the goal of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat’.

The Prime Minister said, “Tributes to Sardar Patel on his Jayanti. His contribution to our nation is monumental. He was the stalwart who unified India. A leader of farmers, a great administrator and uncompromising when it came to safeguarding rights of the poor, India will always remember Sardar Patel’s unparalleled contribution.” Prime Minister also administered Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge at Kevadiya, according to a PIB release.
