New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 29, 2020, condoled the passing away of versatile actor Irrfan Khan. “Irrfan Khan’s demise is a loss to the world of cinema and theatre. He will be remembered for his versatile performances across different mediums. My thoughts are with his family, friends and admirers. May his soul rest in peace,” the Prime Minister said, according to a PIB release.

It may be mentioned here that Irrfan Khan, 54, died on April 29, 2020, losing a two-year battle with neuroendocrine tumour, a rare form of cancer that targets different organs of the body.
