New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 20, 2020, condoled the loss of lives in the bus accident in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruppur district.
“Extremely anguished by the bus accident in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruppur district. In this hour of grief, my thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families. I hope those who are injured recover at the earliest,” Prime Minister Modi said, according to a PIB release.
It may be mentioned here that 20 passengers including five women died while several passengers were injured when a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus collided head-on with a lorry near Avanashi town in Tirupur district , about 40 km from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on February 20, 2020, morning. The bus was carrying 48 passengers.
