Ara : Driver of a Pickup van was killed when his van collided head-on with a Tanker near Udwantnagar railway station (PS) under Udwantnagar police station on Ara-Sasaram main road in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on January 19, 2021, morning.
The deceased was identified as Sita Ram Prasad, 46, son of Mahath Prasad of Dhamwal village under Shahpur PS in Bhojpur district. Later, police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
SHO, Udwantnagar PS, said that Sita Ram Prasad was going to Piro driving the Pickup van and when he reached near Udwantnagar PSce station on Ara-Sasaram main road, a speeding tanker collided head-on with the van injuring him seriously. The locals took him out of the van and informed police. On getting information, police rushed to the spot and were rushing him to Ara Sadar Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries on way.
