Sasaram : Bike borne armed criminals shot dead owner of a petrol pump at Kochas Bazaar in Rohtas District in South Bihar on December 14, 2020, when he was going to deposit money in the bank. The deceased was identified as Rahul Kumar, 28. The miscreants also snatched containing the cash  and escaped.

After the incident, locals blocked the NH-30 with the body raising slogans against the police administration. They paralysed movement of vehicles for about two hours and demanded immediate arrest of the miscreants and check in rising incident of crime. But, Kochas police did not reach the place of occurrence even after several hours of the incident sensing the mood of the locals and businessmen. Later, ASP Arvind Pratap Singh rushed to the spot from Sasaram where he had to face the ire of the people.

ASP Arvind Pratap Singh said that Rahul Kumar was going to deposit money from his petrol pump to a nearby bank when motorcycle borne some armed miscreants intercepted him, and snatched the bag with money and when he protested, the miscreants shot him dead. A shopkeeper Deepak Kumar tried to chase the criminals but the criminals  shot at and injured him and escaped from the spot with thecash.

 The ASP further said that senior officials have ordered to cordon the area to arrest the criminals and added that  police were conducting raids to arrest them.
