Sasaram: The people not having toilet at their houses or do not co-operate in making Rohtas district open defecation free (ODF) will be deprived of all government sponsored facilities and benefits of schemes and also not be given grains from the Public Distribution System (PDS).

SDO, Sasaram, Amrendra Kumar, addressing a meeting of the PDS dealers on Saturday said that a proposal would be passed at the Gram Sabha of every panchayat depriving such people of the benefits of all the government schemes. He said that the district administration has launched a campaign to make all the blocks in Rohtas district ODF. He said that the government would give Rs 7,500 as first installament for construction of lavatory and after its construction Rs 3,500 more will be given.

Assistant District Supply Officer, Rohtas, Omkar Chaudhary directed the PDS dealers to advertise necessity of building of lavatories and ills of open toilets and also motivate the people to build lavatories at their houses.
