Bagaha : RJD leader and Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Prasad Yadav while addressing an election rally at Babuyeetola field under Bagaha assembly segment in Valmikinagar parliamentary constituency in West Champaran district in North Bihar on May 9, 2019, described JD(U) President and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar as ‘Paltu Chacha’ (turncoat) saying the latter had announced during 2015 state assembly polls that he would never support the saffron party in future but he deserted the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) in July 2017 to return to the NDA fold .
Tejaswi alleged that ‘Paltu Chacha’ is now treating Mahagathbandhan as his enemy number one and was trying his best to ensure that RJD chief Lalu Prasad remains in jail in fodder scam cases. The Grand Alliance comprises the RJD, Congress, Rashtriya Lok Samata Party, Hindustani Awam Morcha, Lok Jantantrik Dal, and Vikassheel Insaan Party.
Tejaswi said that CM Nitish Kumar has failed to get special package from the centre. The RJD leader also said that law and order had collapsed in the state and women do not feel safe. He also referred to Muzaffarpur Shelter Home case in this connection. He also lashed out at Nitish Kumar for not granting the Revenue District status to Bagaha so far. Bagaha is still a Police District. Tejaswi alleged the poor and Dalits were being harassed under Prohibition and Excise Act and added that cops were now minting money in the name of enforcing prohibition neglecting their law and order duty.
Tejaswi described Dipak Yadav, BSP nominee from Valmikinagar parliamentary constituency (PC) and MD of Tirupati Sugars Ltd Bagaha, as ‘votekatuwa’ in the constituency alleging he was contesting the polls at the behest of CM Nitish Kumar. Tejeswi also said that Narendra Modi would not become the Prime Minister again as the people had lost faith in him.
Tejaswi asked the people in Valmikinagar PC to exercise their franchise in the favour Congress nominee Shashwat Kedar to make Rahul Ghandhi the Prime Minister at the Centre. Shashwat Kedar, the Congress nominee from Valmikinagar parliamentary constituency, also spoke on the occasion.
