Buxar : Aghast over the rising incidents of theft, burglary  and robbery, hundreds of people on February 14 blocked Dumraon- Bikramganj main road near Koransarai Bazaar in Buxar district for about four hours and raised slogans against Buxar district administration and police. Circle Inspector Rajesh Kumar assured them that the miscreants would be arrested at the earliest. The blockade was lifted after positive assurance from the Circle Inspector.

SHO, Koransarai police station, Nandan Kumar Singh said that some unidentified criminals had committed robbery at the mobile shop of Mantu Kumar at Koransarai Bazaar around midnight on February 13, 2017, and looted 25 mobiles and Rs 15,000 cash. Mantu Kumar had informed the police but the SHO did not think it necessary to visit the spot.
