Patna : New SSP of Patna Upendra Kumar Sharma on January 2, 2020, swung into action soon after assuming charge of his new assignment. He held a crime meeting with senior police officials on January 2. He was quite concerned over the increasing incidents of crime in Patna District and instructed the inspectors and DSPs to ensure speedy trial of pending cases and execute warrants to control the crime They were asked to keep eyes on criminals released from jail recently.
SSP Sharma was earlier SP of East Champaran and was transferred appointed SSP, Patna, on January 1, 2020. According to police sources, SSP Sharma visited Bihata police station on January 2 and held a meeting with the officials of the police station and reviewed its functioning. At the meeting, Abhinaw Kumar, City SP, DSP of Phulwarisharif Sanjay Pandey, and DSP, Paliganj, Manoj Kumar Pandey, also attended the meeting.
