Patna : Seventy-three more persons including 57 in Patna and 14 in Rohtas District tested Coronavirus (COVID-19) positive during last fours taking the total to 1,251 in Bihar at 7.30 pm on May 17, 2020. The new cases are in 4-65 year age group. The government is looking into their infection trail. With this, the number of Coronavirus confirmed cases jumped to 163 in Patna and 91 in Rohtas on May 17, 2020, evening. The COVID-19 death toll increased to 8 in Bihar on the day.
In Patna, 21 Coronavirus confirmed cases were reported from BMP-14, Kharjpura, Patna, 17 from Barh, 12 from Athmalgola, two each from Belchhi and RPS Mor, and one each from Agamkuan and Fatuha. The new Coronavirus patients include 17 women.
In Rohtas District, five Coronavirus confirmed cases were reported from Shivsagar, four from Nasriganj, three from Chenari, and one each from Sasaram and Kargahar. The fresh cases from Rohtas include three women. One case each was reported from Noorsarai (Nalanda) and Nayagaon, Sonepur, in Saran District.
