Patna : Police have not been able to make any breakthrough in Vijaya Bank dacoity on Bailey Road under Rupuspur police station, Patna, despite lapse of 48 hours. Police remain clueless in the case let alone identifying and arresting any criminal involved in the bank dacoity.
Four armed criminals had looted Rs 2.79 lakh cash from the bank in broad daylight one hour before the closure on June 28 by making the bank employees and customers captive at gun point. Apart from looting cash, the four criminals had also taken away the hard disc of the CCTV installed in the bank. This has made the task of police that much more difficult as far identification of criminals goes.
Incidentally, the criminals had not covered their faces while looting cash. SHO, Rupuspur police station, on June 30, 2018, said that no criminal involved in the cash loot had been arrested so far.
