Patna HC Judge visits Bagaha Civil Court, inspects under-construction building

Bagaha : Patna High Court Judge cum Inspecting Judge, West Champaran District, Chakradhari Sharan Singh, on January 12, 2019, visited Bagaha Civil Court, accompanied by District Judge, West Champaran, Abhimanyu Lal Srivastava.  He inspected an under-construction five storied court building. The building is being constructed at a cost of Rs 25.42 crore. The foundation of the building was laid by the then Inspecting Judge, West Champaran, Ahshanuddin Amanullah, on February 11, 2017.

A team of Bar Association, Bagaha, led by its President Indubhusan Pandey met the Inspecting Judge and handed him over a list of 7 demands of the association including transfer of cases related to Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act (POCSO Act), Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act (NDPS Act), SC/ST Act, Prohibition & Excise Act, and Maintenance Act, from Bettiah to Bagaha court in the interests of litigants. The association said that three Additional District Judge courts were sanctioned for Bagaha but a single ADJ court runs now- a- days. Inspecting Judge Singh assured them to consider their demands.
