Patna : Patna district magistrate (DM) Kumar Ravi held a meeting on prevention and spread of  COVID-19 at Hindi Bhawan here on June 9, 2020, and issued necessary directives to officials regarding it.

DM Ravi directed to increase number of beds at isolation centres for Coronavirus patients and ordered for providing 244 beds at Shastrinagar based Deep Narayan Singh Cooperative Management Institute, 400 beds at Training Centre, Barh, 200 beds at Training Centre at Bikram, and 200 beds at Training Centre at Masaurhi. Besides this, directive was also issued for developing ESI, Bihta, as an isolation centre.  Seven isolation wards with 196 beds are already functional there.
At present, there are 32 containment zones in Patna district Earlier, the number of containment zones was 49 while 17 have been freed.
In 32 containment zone area, survey of 32,875 houses has been completed with survey of 1,42,639 family members. No
positive case has been found during survey.
