Patna: Divisional Commissioner, Patna, Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, held a meeting with Patna DM, SSP, Municipal Commissioner, and other officials at Hindi Bhawan auditorium on July 9, 2020, and gave necessary instructions to them for strict implementation of lockdown and better provision of health facilities at COVID Care Centre.
He directed Additional Collector (Law and Order) to depute magistrates, police officers, and police forces for making lockdown effective. Agarwal asked the officials to start `Roko Toko’ and intensive vehicle checking on roads to ensure mandatory use of masks. It is mandatory for both driver and passengers to use masks, he pointed out. Agarwal asked the DM to run awareness campaign and miking to inform people about lockdown provisions including what is open and what is closed, not getting out unnecessarily / gathering from July 10 to July 16, 2020.
Reviewing Containment Zone, Agarwal said that containment zones should be created if positive cases come to fore and vehicular movement should be disrupted there but maintaining emergency services. He also directed the officials to get required cooperation from chairmen and secretary of apartments located in Containment Zones.
Agarwal directed Patna Municipal Corporation to carry out sanitation works, sanitisation campaign and field-wise deputation of personnel. For this, he instructed the officials to identify bus stands, railway station and other crowded places.
